Founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Gecko Online Limited is the formalisation of the work started by Robbie McFarlane as a web-designer. With a firm interest in the internet since its inception during the 90's, Robbie self taught HTML - the programming language used to produce websites.

Originally from Dublin, and very proud of his Irish heritage, Robbie is now settled with his family in the UK. A former Line Training Captain with Europe's largest regional airline, he is now a long haul pilot with one of the Worlds best-known airlines.
With a background in Engineering, IT and Telecoms, Robbie built his first website in the early '90s whilst still at school, and at a time when the internet was in its infancy.
Despite a busy flying schedule, Robbie has maintained his interest in website design throughout, and continued to build sites on a commission basis around his flying schedule. The beauty of modern web development is that it can be done from anywhere there is an internet connection. Yes! even airborne - he has recently been working from New York, Rio and Los Angeles!
